Roblox Private Servers: Create, Join, Renew, and Fix Access

Private servers are experience-specific spaces enabled and priced by each creator. Manage them from the experience page through Roblox, and confirm the price, renewal, permissions, and official domain before joining.

Your goalCreate or join the right server without exposing credentials, paying on an unofficial page, or assuming every experience uses the same rules.
Safety ruleUse first-party status, support, app-store, and account pages before changing security settings or paying.

Create and manage a private server

  1. Open the experience on the Roblox app or website and find its Servers section. If private servers are enabled, the available controls appear there.
  2. Review the current Robux price and renewal language before confirming. A creator may set the server as free or charge a recurring amount.
  3. Open the server configuration to name it and manage allowed members or connections. Use the controls shown on Roblox rather than a third-party generator.
  4. Return to the same server-management area to renew, cancel, or update access. Rules and controls can vary by experience and account settings.

Troubleshoot a join or invite failure

  • Confirm that the server still exists, is active, and belongs to the same experience you are opening.
  • Ask the owner to review member and connection permissions; privacy and age-related settings can restrict access.
  • Open invites only when the host and destination are trusted. A real Roblox destination uses roblox.com or an official Roblox app flow.
  • If all experiences fail to connect, check Roblox status and the Error Code 279 guide rather than repeatedly regenerating the invite.

Avoid private-server scams

  • Never enter a Roblox password, cookie, recovery code, or two-step code into a server-list or invite site.
  • Do not install an extension, script executor, or download to join a private server.
  • Private-server access does not guarantee exclusive rewards. Reward rules are controlled by the experience and can change.

FAQ

Questions players ask next

Are Roblox private servers always free?

No. An experience creator can make them free or set a recurring Robux price. Review the current terms on the experience page before confirming.

Can a private server link ask for my Roblox password?

No trusted invitation needs your password, cookie, or recovery code outside the normal Roblox sign-in flow. Leave the page if the domain or request is suspicious.
